Hello hello.. back at it again w/ a new styling a new outfit. A while back I took a trip to Detroit, Michigan to site see and visit friends. In between the trip, I came across Spot Lite Cafe & record spot which was funky and well crafted. Picked up one of their in-house t-shirts and the rest was history! I already can picture the outfit I’d form in my head. Along the trip I purchased a “Detroit” pin from a local thrifted shop across town to complete the look.

Fast forward, at home I grab an unworn hat I purchased couple months back from Other People Clothes thrift shop in Brooklyn to whip up a more edgy feel as finalizing the outfit w/ zebra chucks, pin I thrifted and some fun jewelry.

Hey everyone, Im back.. I am back from the interval lapse which seeps through my movement (no pun intended) This will be more of a smaller yet not inconsequential post. I want to be applicable triggering straight to the point of displaying only a single photo being my last shoot w/ sliver hair. Been harboring publishing options thus far this was still a dope ass look to style so, here it is. I’ll return w/ updated hair color change (in real time) and outfits -stay tuned!

Haaaay ladies & gents, this post experience some trials and tribulations publishing but it’s here – at last. For the writing portion, I will keep it short and sweet (expanding more on the brand in a later post.) I’ve been browsing the web for some funky overalls or dungarees and “voila” I found Lucy & Yak. There were so many items to choose from even outside of only dungarees. I purchased the rainbow print and loving every minute of it while strutting down the street with it on! These days can seem exceptionally repetitive, lingering and longer lasting during quarantine, if you let it. Off the back, its most certain that everyone’s situation is different from the next yet, it also involves individual’s perspective too. Im a true believer when it comes to focusing on the function of your abilities – If you can control the mind, the body will follow. Which brings me write about One Sound Body.

Health is wealth as their moto is it’s “One Life. One Body.”  A sense of comfort with who you are – your identity.  What’s important to you – your values.  
What you put first – your priorities. What you ultimately want to to do – your goals.  

People go and reach out to One Sound Body when they want to look, feel, and/or perform better. OSB becomes a crucial part of their client’s social support system while empowering people’s potential for growth and change. They take a wide angle to look at your “deep health” which includes physical, mental, emotional, existential, relational-social, and environmental. Owner/coach Stephen has quoted “Great coaching isn’t just about providing the most current scientific knowledge about health, fitness, nutrition, and behavior. It’s about inspiring and helping people take action. Real change comes from consistently choosing different actions, not just what we think or know. Every moment is a fresh beginning. As this whole pandemic is occurring remember, be healthy, take care, love & kind to yourself full circle. These berserk times are a tiny fraction compared to what lies within us.

Guatemalan Textile Bomber

Lots of life must have lived in this jacket antecedent to it finding me, I envisage the long haul drudgery of looped woven stitches to it’s finalization and distribution. My mind wonders trickling across thrift clothing and self perception. For example,  If you wear a white coat that you believe belongs to a doctor, your ability to pay attention increases sharply. But if you wear the same white coat believing it belongs to a painter, your attention span may differ. I love the idea of trying to figure out why when we put on certain clothes, the affects of our mood & basic abilities shift. This is my perception & aesthetic w/ this jacket, some worn pieces say a lot without saying anything at all.

I bought my ostentatious bomber jacket from Resale Folds, one of my favorite treasured thrift shops to shop – ask for Lucia & Jesse. They both own & restock all items w/ detailed vision alongside infectious personalities you will not be able to stir away from, genuinely prodigious human beings. This magnum opus is a beautiful vibrant vintage handmade Guatemalan textile patchwork style bomber jacket. Its a unisex multicolored stripes and pattern weave background, cotton batwing long sleeve w/ a front zipper, stand up collar, ribbed knit cuffs, two inset pockets, rib knit elastic waist band, boxy shoulder fit and some neon love.

I made usage of comparable color scheme scarf I owned which is actually a knot-wrap for gift wrapping from Lush. For the past years, this has been my “go to” buying most of these wraps turning them into head scarfs. I gelled my front hair, throwing the rest of it in a rivet messy half ponytail as coupling my curls hanging out whimsically.

I wore light weight beige thermal underneath, standard blue jeans adjacent to Converse Chuck Taylor multi-colored sequin sneakers with upper a reflective patch and a cushioned insole. Kept the jewelry light wearing only my gold hoop earrings, cat eyeliner, mauve nude lipstick from MAC Cosmetics (I can’t remember the shade) zing green eyeshadow from Jane Cosmestics in the inner tear dot for that pop of radiance & highlight.  Closing out the outfit, I clinched a large pin across the collar to keep that up-right effect w/out having to “pop my collar” consistently – worked like a charm!
